The El Dorado Maroma is located directly on the famous Maroma Beach, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The location is quiet, exclusive, and surrounded by tropical nature. The resort is situated on the Riviera Maya, just a few minutes' drive from Playa del Carmen and approximately 40 minutes' drive from the airport.

The Junior Suites feature either 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds. The suites feature a king-size bed, bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, minibar, air conditioning, safe, satellite TV, telephone, and Wi-Fi. All rooms also have a balcony or terrace and are located directly on the beach (F2W).

Honeymoon Suite

The Honeymoon Suites feature a king-size bed, bathroom with a shower, a daily replenished minibar, air conditioning, ceiling fan, safe, satellite TV, telephone, hairdryer, bathrobe, and Wi-Fi. There is a whirlpool, an outdoor shower, and a living area. All rooms have a private terrace with a daybed (HS2).

A tourism tax was implemented on April 1, 2021, and currently amounts to a one-time fee of 224 Mexican Pesos, or approximately 11 US Dollars per person, regardless of the length of stay in the country.

Alternatively, the tax can be paid in cash upon arrival at the airport. It is advisable to carry the exact amount in Mexican Pesos or US Dollars.

No Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all public places in Mexico. This also applies to public transport, beaches, parks, hotels, and restaurants. Violations may be punishable by fines or imprisonment.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, there is often an increased presence of brown algae in the Caribbean during this period, affecting the beach and sea. Hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with municipal administrations. However, this requires the use of special equipment, which may cause some noise.
