Location

Located in the heart of the Riviera Maya in Akumal. Playa del Carmen with shops and restaurants is approximately 24 km away, and Tulum is about a 25-minute drive. Cancun International Airport is approximately an 80-minute drive away. The ancient Mayan sites of Tulum/Xel-Ha are not far from the hotel.

Facilities

The resort, reopened in October 2019 after extensive renovation, features 358 rooms and suites, a reception area with a lounge, and comfortable seating. Dining options include a total of 1 buffet restaurant and 5 à la carte restaurants (grill, Italian, Mexican, Mediterranean (adults only), and pizzeria). There are also a total of 8 bars, one of which is exclusively for Sun Club guests. The outdoor area includes 5 swimming pools (2 of which are for Sun Club guests only) and 4 pool bars. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.

Deluxe Tropical View

The rooms are equipped with a king-size bed or two queen-size beds, bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, minibar, telephone, safe, air conditioning, terrace or balcony, and TV (DTZ/1TD).

Sun Club Pool View

Same amenities as Deluxe Tropical View rooms, but with a pool view and Sun Club amenities: personal check-in area with concierge service, Sun Club lounge, Sun Club bar with premium spirits, adults-only terrace with Bali beds, 3 Sun Club pools, daily replenished minibar, and free Wi-Fi (C2X).

The double rooms (DD2/DD1) are equipped with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, minibar, telephone, rental safe, terrace or balcony, and TV. The air conditioning is individually adjustable. Double rooms with sea view, for single use, and for single use with sea view are also available.

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). When occupied by 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!
