The modern resort is located on the long, fine-sand beach of Uvero Alto, lined with palm trees. Punta Cana Airport is approx. 40 minutes away, and Santo Domingo Airport is approx. 200 km away.

The Dreams Onyx Resort & Spa is a 5-star luxury resort hotel with a total of 806 luxuriously appointed suites. The complex features an air-conditioned lobby, a spacious pool landscape with several swimming pools (two of which are exclusive for the Preferred Club, one of them adults only), a children's pool, 1 buffet restaurant, 6 à la carte gourmet restaurants, 11 bars (3 of which are exclusive for the Preferred Club), a snack grill, a burger restaurant, Coco Cafe, and an ice cream parlor. The Preferred Club area with its concierge service offers an exclusive area with private check-in, a separate swimming pool, 3 additional bars, and enhanced services and room amenities. Through the Dine-Around program, guests can spend their evenings at participating Dreams and Sunscape Resorts & Spas, enjoying dinner and bars and entertainment (from 6 PM to 1 AM, transfer for a fee, reservations required). Junior Suite Garden View

The Junior Suites (approx. 56 sqm) have a king-size or two queen-size beds, air conditioning, a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, a daily replenished minibar with beer, water, and soft drinks, a flat-screen TV, coffee and tea maker, iron and ironing board, safe, 24-hour room service, and a furnished balcony or terrace with a whirlpool (J2G/J1G). Also bookable with limited sea view (J2S).

Junior Suite Swim Out

Have the same amenities as the Junior Suites Garden/Pool View, with direct pool access and located on the lower floor (JSO).

Premium Junior Suite Tropical View

Equipped like the Junior Suites, larger (approx. 60 sqm), bathroom with separate shower and toilet. The rooms are located closer to the Family Fun Pool (T2Y). Also bookable with pool view (V2O).

Preferred Club Junior Suite Pool View

In addition to the same amenities, the Preferred Club Junior Suites offer the following additional features: personal check-in and check-out, two Preferred Club lounges, two private pools (one of which is adults only), pillow menu, enhanced minibar and room service menu, pool concierge & bar service (JPV). Also bookable as a side sea view (PCP), Ocean View (Adults Only) (PJO), or Swim-Up Suite (Winter 22) (PCZ).

Preferred Club Junior Suite Private Pool

With the same amenities as the Preferred Club JS Pool View, but with a private pool.

In the Dominican Republic, most rooms have sinks or bathtubs/whirlpools integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without a spatial separation. With a double occupancy (2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults), no extra beds will be placed in the room, meaning the occupancy is 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

Seasonal information

Between April and December, there may be increased occurrences of seaweed and algae due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, an increased presence of brown algae is often observed in the Caribbean during this period. This affects the beach and the sea. The hotel management and local authorities are, of course, making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which can cause some noise.
