Location

The hotel belonging to the Bahia Principe hotel chain is located on Playa Bávaro beach (Higüey), 35 minutes from Punta Cana Airport, 90 minutes from La Romana Airport, and 55 minutes from Higüey. Situated on a wonderful white sandy beach surrounded by tropical vegetation, this property is particularly suitable for families. However, friends and golf enthusiasts will also get their money's worth. 5 golf courses nearby.

Facilities

The well-maintained 5-star complex of the beautiful chain offers its guests the following amenities: an air-conditioned main restaurant, a snack bar, and 1 à la carte specialty restaurant. A highlight is the water and adventure park for children with a lagoon-style pool, a large pool, and a huge children's area, a swim-up bar, and large sun terraces. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. The main area also features a large, open reception hall with a reception desk. Facilities at the sister hotels Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro and Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana (with the exception of the buffet restaurants) can be used. The facilities of the Luxury Bahia Principe Fantasia and Aquamarine Hotels cannot be used.

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40 x 2m). For occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children/3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; this means occupancy: 2 people per bed, even if extra beds are listed on the confirmation!

An armband is required to use the All-Inclusive services. Internet in Pueblo Principe is available for a fee. Smoking is prohibited in all restaurants. Appropriate attire is required in all restaurants (no shorts, beach shoes, or swimwear). Smoking is only permitted in the beach snack bars, not in the restaurants! In cases of low hotel occupancy, there may be restrictions on restaurant opening hours (excluding the main restaurant).

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased occurrences of seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are often found in the Caribbean during this period, affecting the beach and sea. Hotel management and local authorities are of course making efforts to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with local administrations. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may produce some noise.
