Location

The hotel is ideally located on the Samana Peninsula, just a few minutes from the town center and approximately 3-4 hours from Puerto Plata Airport. Situated directly between the bays of Bahia de Samana and Bahia Escocesa, the beautiful natural surroundings with their dreamlike sandy beaches invite you to swim. Santo Domingo Airport is approximately 162 km away. From January to March, the bays offer a unique natural spectacle as many humpback whales meet here for mating.

The hotel complex comprises 197 rooms and 87 junior suites spread across the grounds. General facilities include an air-conditioned non-smoking buffet restaurant, 3 à la carte restaurants (Gourmet, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisine), 4 bars (snack bar, lobby bar, pool bar, disco bar), shops, conference rooms, 1 panoramic elevator with sea view, parking, a ballroom, various shops, 2 outdoor swimming pools with whirlpools, a hydromassage pool, a large sun terrace with loungers, umbrellas, and towel service by the pools. The Beach Club is located on the beach.

Double room

Standard rooms feature either a king-size bed or double beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom, hairdryer, minibar (soft drinks and beer included), telephone, safe, satellite TV, a breakfast table with chairs, and a terrace (D/DE). Also available to book with sea view, although this may be a restricted sea view due to vegetation (DM/DEM).

Junior Suite Superior

Same amenities as the double room, but more spacious with a seating area and sofa bed, and a bathtub with whirlpool (2JS).

In the Caribbean, most rooms are equipped with two queen-size beds (approx. 1.40m x 2m). For a occupancy of 2 adults + 1/2 children / 3 adults, no extra beds will be placed in the room; this means 2 people per bed, even if rollaway beds are listed on the confirmation!

A wristband is required to use the All-Inclusive services. The dress code in the restaurants is as follows: swimwear is generally not permitted. In the specialty restaurants, additionally and generally not permitted: Bermuda shorts, shorts, sleeveless shirts, sandals. Gentlemen must wear long trousers. In cases of low hotel occupancy, there may be temporary closures of various restaurants.
In the Dominican Republic, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without any spatial separation.

Seasonal information

During stays between April and December, increased seaweed and algae may occur due to wind, temperature, and currents. In particular, brown algae are often increasingly present in the Caribbean during this period, affecting the beach and sea. The hotel management and local authorities are of course endeavoring to clean affected beach sections in cooperation with the local municipalities. However, this requires the use of appropriate equipment, which may generate some noise.
