Location

The Ocean Gardens hotel is located on a mountain above the sea, offering a magnificent view of the bay and the Atlantic Ocean, as well as the city of Funchal. The airport of Funchal is about 15 minutes away. You can reach the center of Funchal in about 10 minutes by car. The hotel provides a free shuttle service (subject to availability, Mon-Fri) between the city center and the hotel.

The tastefully furnished 4-star hotel has a total of 85 rooms. Facilities include a reception area with a 24-hour reception, an à la carte restaurant 'Montanha' (230 seats, with an outdoor smoking area), a hotel bar, pool/snackbar "Panoramica", and a banquet hall (for events and congresses). The outdoor area (located on the 4th floor) offers a well-maintained garden with a sun terrace, swimming pool, and pool bar, as well as a fantastic view over the Atlantic Ocean.

The double rooms Bay View have the same amenities as the double rooms and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, USB port, and a view of the harbor and the bay of Funchal (VDB).

The double rooms Superior Bay View have the same amenities as the double rooms Bay View, but are slightly larger and feature a panoramic balcony (SVB).

Breakfast from 7:30 AM to 10 AM served buffet-style. For half board, dinner is also served from 7 PM to 10 PM as a 3-course meal/set menu (choice of 2 appetizers, choice of 2 main courses from fish or meat, and choice of 2 desserts) in the à la carte restaurant 'Montanha'.
Additionally, à la carte dishes are offered from 11 AM to 10 PM in the à la carte restaurant 'Montanha' (for a fee).
