Location

The Hotel Karla is located in a quiet yet central spot on the outskirts of Mauterndorf, offering panoramic views of the Lungau mountains. The town center with its shops, restaurants, and bars is about 600 m away, and the cable car for the hiking paradise is approximately 2 km away. The surrounding area of Mauterndorf is a holiday paradise for active and sports enthusiasts, with numerous cycling and hiking trails and ski resorts, making the hotel an ideal base for a mountain holiday.
Especially in winter: A winter holiday in the Lungau holiday region and Mauterndorf is simply unique and should not be missed. This region offers winter sports enthusiasts a diverse range of winter sports, guaranteed snow, and abundant sunshine. The total of 300 km of slopes between Katschberg and Obertauern impress many visitors to the region every year. Endurance athletes will be drawn to the fantastic cross-country ski trails, with approximately 150 km of groomed cross-country and ski trails offering ideal conditions.

This family-run, comfortable hotel offers a total of 35 rooms in a traditional style, creating a cozy holiday atmosphere that invites guests to relax and unwind from everyday life. A reception, lobby, and lounge area are available to welcome guests warmly. Guests can enjoy culinary delights in the restaurant or on the terrace with its magnificent panoramic view. The hotel is also well-equipped for conferences and seminars, making it a great choice for both holidaymakers and business travelers.

Double room

The comfortable Standard Double Rooms feature a double bed and a bathroom with a bathtub or shower, toilet, and hairdryer, as well as a telephone, Wi-Fi (for a fee), TV, safe (for a fee), a small refrigerator, and a balcony (approx. 20m², D).

Double room Comfort

The rustic Comfort category rooms additionally feature a double sofa bed and are significantly more spacious, but otherwise similar in amenities to the Standard Double Rooms (approx. 30m², DKO).

Single room

These rooms are furnished similarly to the double rooms but are smaller in size (approx. 15m², E).

2-room Family Studio

Decorated with wood and warm colors, these rooms have a double bedroom and a separate room with 2 single beds, separated by a connecting door or a curtain. They also offer a seating area and a cozy tiled stove (approx. 36m², STF).
(Available in winter as a 2-room family room (2FZ)).

Notice

NEW from Summer 2025: For all guests staying in the state of Salzburg from May 1, 2025, there will be a new levy, the "Mobility Tax". The fee will be collected alongside the local tax per overnight stay and will go towards the expansion of transportation. In return, all guests will receive free use of public transport in their holiday destination. The levy must be paid regardless of whether public transport is used.
