Location

The idyllic village of Dorfgastein is characterized by its central location and diverse activity options. Dorfgastein also boasts an impressive mountain backdrop. In the surrounding area of Dorfgastein, you'll find several interesting destinations for day trips. Particularly recommended are Klammstein Castle, approximately 4.1 km away, and the Alpentherme Gastein, 9.1 km away.
As soon as the first snowflakes fall, Dorfgastein transforms into a winter wonderland. With its proximity to the Ski Amadé ski area, offering around 860 kilometers of slopes, the focus is naturally on winter sports. Skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and ice stock sport are just a few of the activities to enjoy. Snowtubing is also an option. The snow-covered landscape is particularly beautiful during winter hikes, with or without snowshoes, or on ski tours. Tobogganing is also a lot of fun.
In summer, the hotel is the ideal starting point for hiking and cycling tours. The Gasteinertal hiking area is located directly behind the hotel. The hiking bus stop is about 500 m away. The Dorfgastein mountain railway can also be reached in about 500 m. A dedicated bike path right by the hotel allows you to stay active while enjoying the scenery.

Facilities

The smartHotel offers 30 units in total, along with a welcoming lobby with seating, a reception area, a lounge, and an e-bike charging station. Your accommodation is divided between a main building and an annex building, approximately 100 m apart. Enjoy culinary delights in the "smartRESTAURANT." You can end an eventful day at the hotel bar "smartBAR" in good company. A terrace is also available for relaxation. Cyclists can make use of the hotel's bicycle storage room. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas.

The spacious and bright "smartFLAT M" apartments (AP, approx. 40 m²) feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a seating area, a dining area, and a bathroom (shower, separate toilet), and some have a balcony. The apartments consist of a bedroom and a living/sleeping area, and include a kitchen (with stove, coffee machine, dishes). The bedroom has a double bed, and the living area has a double bed and two single beds.

Dorfgastein

Seasonal information

The 5 resorts of Salzburger Sportwelt, Großarltal, Hochkönig, Gasteinertal, and Dachstein form the Ski Amadé ski area, requiring only one ski pass for all resorts. The winter sports area offers perfectly groomed slopes. With floodlights, the slopes can also be enjoyed at night. Various inns and après-ski options provide opportunities for socializing off the slopes and for warming drinks and snacks. A snow park and a toboggan run promise plenty of fun.
