The family-friendly Katrin Hotel is located only approx. 250 m from the beautiful sandy beach of Stalis (separated only by a coastal road) and approx. 200 m from the center. The center of Chersonissos with its numerous shopping and entertainment options is approx. 4 km away, and a public bus stop is approx. 150 m away. Heraklion Airport is approx. 30 km away.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel has 118 accommodation units, spread across a main building and several outbuildings. Amenities include a reception hall with a 24-hour reception, a lounge, Wi-Fi in all public areas (included), the main bar "Dionissos", and the buffet restaurant "Ambrosia". The outdoor area offers various pool areas with an activity pool with a separate children's splash pool and in the adults' area (18+), a relaxation pool and a whirlpool, various sun terraces with loungers and umbrellas (included), as well as the pool bars "Posidon" and "Sunshine". For Summer 2024, further parts of the outdoor area have been modernized and newly furnished, and the main bar and main restaurant have also been modernized. Bath towels are available for a fee. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available on the beach for a fee.

These double rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually controlled air conditioning, Wi-Fi, smart TV, telephone, mini-fridge, safe (for a fee), and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DA).

Double room Superior

The Superior Double Rooms are located in the main building and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually controlled air conditioning, Wi-Fi, smart TV, telephone, mini-fridge, safe (for a fee), and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DSU/SSX).
Available as single use (DSE/DAE) or as a Superior Economy room (2US).

Double room Superior with whirlpool

With otherwise identical facilities to the Superior Double Rooms, these are renovated, located in the outbuildings, and additionally feature a ceiling fan and a whirlpool (J2N).
The whirlpool is not supervised. Please pay particular attention to your children when using this area and behave accordingly.

Double room Superior with plunge pool

With otherwise identical facilities to the Superior Double Rooms, these are renovated, located in the outbuildings, and additionally feature a ceiling fan and a plunge pool (DPL/DAB).
The plunge pool is not supervised. Please pay particular attention to your children when using this area and behave accordingly.

Family room

These rooms are mostly located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually controlled air conditioning, Wi-Fi, 2 smart TVs, telephone, mini-fridge, safe (for a fee), a combined living/sleeping area (open plan) with an additional bunk bed, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (DF2/JSF).

These rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, are identically equipped to the family rooms, and feature a walk-in shower/WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, toiletries, individually controlled air conditioning, Wi-Fi, 2 smart TVs, telephone, mini-fridge, safe (for a fee), a combined living/sleeping area (open plan) with an additional bunk bed, and a newly furnished balcony or terrace (JL2/JSF).

Family Suite

These rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, and have the same facilities as the family rooms, but are more spacious with a 2nd smart TV, ceiling fan, and an additional separate bedroom with a bunk bed (2FS/2ZA).

Suite schauinsland-reisen

These rooms are located in the outbuildings, have been renovated, are identically equipped to the family suites, and have the same facilities as the family rooms, but are more spacious with a 2nd smart TV, ceiling fan, and an additional separate bedroom with a bunk bed (2SI/2ZA).

Family Suite Superior

The Family Suite Superior offers the same facilities and size as the Family Suite, but with sleeping arrangements for up to 3 people in the separate bedroom (2FF).

Breakfast (7:30 am-10:00 am), lunch (12:30 pm-2:30 pm) and dinner (6:30 pm-9:30 pm) served buffet-style. Snacks are available during the day (11:00 am-12:30 pm). Ice cream is available for children only (12:00 pm-3:30 pm). Coffee/tea and pastries are available (4:00 pm-5:00 pm). Soft drinks, beer, and house wine are included with meals. At the open bar, local non-alcoholic drinks and selected local alcoholic beverages (beer, wine, ouzo, brandy, and raki) are included from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm. Information regarding climate resilience contribution

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by guests on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will range from €0.50 to €15 per day and room, depending on the category.
