Location

Located on the northwest coast of Crete, between Chania and Heraklion, is the beautiful city of Rethymnon. It is the third largest city on the island and is particularly well-known for its historic old town and picturesque old harbor. The Macaris Suites & Spa Hotel is situated approximately 100 m from the beautiful sandy beach, and the city center of Rethymnon is about 1 km away. The nearest supermarket is about 500m from the hotel. For hotel guests who wish to explore other cities by bus, the nearest bus stop is about 100 m from the hotel. With otherwise identical amenities, these are located on the 6th to 8th floors (ESM). Can also be booked with 2 bedrooms as Suite Sea View Type A (2MA).

Note on climate resilience contribution

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will range from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
