Location

The friendly hotel complex belongs to the "Minos Collection" and is centrally located on the outskirts of Rethymnon. The sandy/pebble beach is about 150 m away. Various shops and entertainment facilities are about 100 m away, and the old town can be reached in a 15-20 minute walk. The nearest bus stop is about 30 m away, Heraklion Airport is about 80 km away, and Chania Airport is about 72 km away.

Facilities

The well-maintained Hotel Minos, with its courteous and experienced staff, offers a total of 174 rooms, a lobby with a 24-hour reception, Wi-Fi, an air-conditioned restaurant, and a bar with a terrace. The outdoor area features two freshwater swimming pools, one of which is an adults-only pool, a children's pool, sun terraces, and a pool/snackbar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool and available for a fee on the beach. Beach/pool towels are available for a deposit.

With the same amenities as the Double Room, featuring a bathroom with shower/WC, bathrobes, slippers, a pillow menu, tablet (for a fee), a fruit basket and wine upon arrival, as well as an additional sleeping option and more space (DD2). Also available for single occupancy (DD1) or at an extra charge with pool view and additional amenities (turndown service and down duvets) (DPB).

Junior Suite Superior

With the same amenities as the Double Room Deluxe, featuring a combined living/sleeping area and additionally a welcome package with fruits and sparkling wine, minibar (refilled weekly with non-alcoholic drinks), and beach towels (JU2).

Breakfast/Half Board/All Inclusive

Buffet breakfast with show cooking at Ambrosia restaurant from 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM, sparkling wine brunch every Sunday. If Half Board is booked, dinner is also included as a buffet with show cooking at Ambrosia restaurant from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

Buffet breakfast with show cooking at Ambrosia restaurant
from 7:30 AM - 10:30 AM, sparkling wine brunch every Sunday. An early continental breakfast is available between 7 AM - 7:30 AM with prior reservation. Lunch is served as a menu or buffet (depending on the number of guests) from 12:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
Dinner is served as a buffet with show cooking at Ambrosia restaurant (6:30 PM - 9:30 PM).
Drinks at the bars (10:30 AM - 12:00 AM, last order at 11:00 PM): Cold and hot beverages, soft drinks, juices, draught beer, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic branded drinks, selected cocktails and spirits.
During the day, cold and hot snacks (11:00 AM - 4:00 PM) and cookies, cakes, and waffles (4:00 PM - 6:00 PM) are available.
For late arrivals (after 9:00 PM), cold meals are served. Lunch and dinner include complimentary mineral water, branded soft drinks, draught beer, and local wine. Vegetarian options are available. A dress code applies for dinner. Free participation in a gala or barbecue dinner once a week (reservation required).

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, ranges from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
