Location

This comfortable resort is located at the entrance to the charming village of Plakias on the south coast of Crete. A coastal road separates the hotel from the sand/pebble beach. The village center, with its numerous tavernas and cafes lining the shore, is about 250 m away. Plakias is an ideal starting point for excursions in southern Crete, such as to the Preveli Monastery. A bus stop is 300 m away.
The distance to Chania Airport is approx. 99 km and to Heraklion Airport is approx. 116 km.

The hotel has been family-owned for four decades and will be extensively renovated and expanded for Summer 2026. With a fresh look and a new hotel wing, the resort will shine with elegant flair, without losing its welcoming spirit and tradition. It offers 126 modern, comfortable rooms, a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a lounge area with satellite TV, a bar, and an air-conditioned restaurant. In the outdoor area, there is an existing freshwater swimming pool and a new pool in the additionally built structures. Both are surrounded by inviting sun terraces with loungers and umbrellas, each with a pool bar/snack bar. Wi-Fi is included in the public areas of the hotel. Private parking is available free of charge for guests. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available from third-party providers at the nearby sand/pebble beach.

The Amalthea restaurant is located in the main building and offers varied buffets with a first-class selection of Greek and Mediterranean dishes, as well as local products.

Information for Climate Resilience Contribution

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience contribution, payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, starting from 01.01.2025, ranges from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
