Surrounded by a palm oasis near the beach and the azure sea, the extremely charming Akrogiali Beach Hotel on Crete is a paradise of tranquility, idyllically situated in the bustling resort of Malia on the island of Crete in Greece.
Located directly on the gently sloping sandy beach, only approx. 35 km from Heraklion, the vibrant capital of Crete, and only 300 meters from the lively center of Malia.

The small schauinsland-reisen original property presents itself with great attention to detail and a modern design.
Combined with the very warm and helpful nature of the owner Loula and her equally cordial team, nothing stands in the way of a typical Greek holiday "like with friends".
Hospitality is lived here. The complex has a total of 57 rooms, spread across several buildings. Additionally, there is a reception with a small lobby, a swimming pool with a sun terrace, a children's pool, and a pool/snackbar. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool, and at the beach for a fee.

Accommodation

Studio Type A

The comfortably furnished studios (AST), located in the annex building, are equipped with a double bed and feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe (for a fee), a kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities), a bathroom with a bathtub or shower/WC, and a furnished balcony or terrace with a garden view.
Available as a 3-bed room (S2B) or for single occupancy (S1B).
The rooms are located in the annex building, across the street. The beach is approx. 250 m from the rooms.

Studio side sea view

The side sea view studios (M2S) in the main building, with otherwise identical amenities as the Type A studios, offer a side sea view.

Apartment side sea view

The side sea view apartments (2AS/AIS), located in the main building, are equipped with a combined living/sleeping area with sleeping facilities for up to 2 people (sofa beds) and feature a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe (for a fee), a kitchenette with a 2-burner stove, microwave, mini-fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities), a separate bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with shower/WC, and a furnished balcony with a side sea view.
Available for single occupancy (1AS) as well.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 1.1.2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 1.1.2025.
