Location

The friendly Astir Beach hotel is located directly across the quiet beach promenade from a narrow sandy beach in Gouves. Heraklion Airport is approximately 15 km away. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you'll find several tavernas, bars, and cafes. The center of the lively resort town is about 800 m away.

The family-friendly Astir Beach hotel with its 180 rooms features a main building with a cozy reception area offering a 24-hour reception, lobby, TV corner, Wi-Fi in public areas (included), a mini-market (10 am-9 pm), restaurant, and a pool/snack bar (extra charge). The garden area houses two freshwater swimming pools, one with an integrated children's pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included on the sun terrace with an outdoor shower; they are available at the beach for a fee. Beach towels are available for a deposit. Free parking is available directly in front of the hotel.

The comfortable rooms are equipped with twin beds and a single bed, bathroom or shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), Wi-Fi (included), telephone, safety deposit box (rental fee), satellite TV with music channels, a small refrigerator, coffee/tea making facilities, and a balcony or terrace (D).

These rooms are somewhat smaller (approx. 20 sqm) than the double rooms and feature a single bed (E), with all other amenities being the same.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, as of January 1, 2025, ranges from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room.
