The safaris always start on Mondays.
Day 1 "Mombasa - Tsavo West National Park": Early morning pick-up from the hotel (South Coast around 5:30 AM, North Coast 6:30 AM) and transfer to the train station in Mombasa for a train journey (1st class) to Mtito Andei (departure 8 AM, arrival 11:18 AM). After arrival, pick-up and onward journey with the Severin Camp vehicle to Tsavo West National Park, where you will enjoy your first lunch at your accommodation, the "Severin Safari Camp". In the afternoon, the first game drive through Tsavo West National Park begins with a 6-seater vehicle and an English or German-speaking driver/guide. The extensive and diverse habitats offer an ideal area for searching for prides of lions, buffaloes, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and wildebeest. Enjoy a sundowner at "Mzima Springs," an underground water source that seeps from the "Chyulu Hills" and is a good spot for observing hippos. There is also a great variety of bird species. Dinner will also be served at your booked accommodation (Severin Safari Camp).
Day 2 "Tsavo West National Park": Spend the entire day in Tsavo West National Park with a morning game drive and a 1.5-hour guided nature walk. All meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and the overnight stay will continue to be at the "Severin Safari Camp."
Day 3 "Tsavo West National Park - Mombasa": The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to Mtito Andei train station for the return journey by train (1st class) to Mombasa (departure 10:54 AM, arrival 2 PM). After arriving in Mombasa, you will be transferred to your booked hotel.
Minimum participants: 2 people.
Safaris can start at the earliest on the 2nd day of your stay. The latest return to your booked beach hotel is 2 days before departure. Program sequence is subject to change.
