When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and a visit to the High Dam in Aswan.

Route:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, can be booked locally).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to West Thebes to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, Felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked locally).

Departure.

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three bars on board. Furthermore, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship has a small gym, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool and enjoy the fantastic views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.
Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) than the suites, with otherwise the same amenities, and may be without a French balcony and without a seating area, but with a non-opening window.

The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which first opened in April 2024, impresses with its modern Bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the dreamlike, hotel-owned lagoon sandy beach, offering the perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty facilitates entry into deeper water. Marsa Alam Airport is about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel is built in an elegant Bohemian style and features 203 rooms and suites spread across various buildings. The complex has a reception area with seating and an associated outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area of the complex, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis Pool), as well as an island pool and a kids' pool (all pools are heated in winter). Restaurants include the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à la carte restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), and "Basilico," which serves as an international à la carte restaurant during the day and an Italian à la carte restaurant in the evening. All à la carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort has a spa area, a fitness studio, a beauty salon, a kids' club, and various shops.

With the same amenities as the Double Rooms Superior, but more spacious (SUJ, approx. 60 sqm). Additionally, these rooms have access to the shared swim-up pool. Also available for single use (SUE).

Deluxe Beach Front Swim-up Suite

The rooms (S2U) are approx. 45 sqm and, with similar amenities to the Double Rooms, have a terrace with direct access to the sharing pool. The rooms are located in close proximity to the beach.
Also available at an extra charge with direct access to a private pool (BSD).

Anjum Jacuzzi Suite Sea View

The Anjum Jacuzzi Suite (S2J) is approx. 70 sqm and consists of two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with two twin beds. The rooms have similar amenities and additionally feature a balcony with a Jacuzzi and sea view.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers breakfast including coffee and tea and various freshly squeezed juices (7 AM-10:30 AM and late riser breakfast 10:30 AM-11 AM upon request), lunch (1 PM-3 PM), and dinner (7 PM-10 PM) buffet-style. If needed, the following à la carte restaurants are also fully included (subject to availability with prior reservation): "Basilico" (7 AM-10:30 AM à la carte breakfast, 12:30 PM-5 PM international cuisine, 7 PM-10 PM Italian cuisine) and "Manzoku," which is open from 6:30 PM-10 PM and offers Asian cuisine. At the "Indigo Bar," coffee, tea, and cake are served daily from 3 PM to 5 PM. A midnight snack is available to guests from 11 PM to 1 AM in the Boscage Restaurant. Local non-alcoholic drinks are available around the clock at one of the seven bars (one bar is adult only). Local alcoholic drinks are included from 10 AM to 12 AM.

Sports included

An indoor fitness studio with various CrossFit equipment is available to guests free of charge from 8 AM to 8 PM. The minimum age for the fitness studio is 16 years. Also, a tennis court (upon request and availability, floodlights for a fee), beach volleyball, darts, boccia, mini-golf, sunset meditation, aqua aerobics, and aerobics.

Sports for a fee

German-speaking dive center (International Diving), various water sports activities on the beach (local providers, for a fee).

Children's program

For the little holidaymakers, the SUNRISE Kids Planet Club is available (kids' club is multilingual, including German). It looks after children aged 3-12 and is open every day of the week. The resort also has a children's pool, a mini disco, and a separate corner in the buffet restaurant. Babysitting service is available on request for a fee.

Wellness

The spa area (10 AM to 7 PM) includes a sauna, Jacuzzi, steam bath, and Turkish bath, and also offers various massages to guests.
