Route description:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 AM (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sailing to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continuing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).
Sailing on to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning, after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then, visit to the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca sailing on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then, visit to a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast box included.
Then, back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
Afterwards, the ship sails on to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Temple of Luxor (1,2,3) and the Temple of Karnak (1,2,3). There is an option for a sound and light show at the Temple of Karnak (optional, can be booked on site).

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks from the three onboard bars. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship will have a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the fantastic views of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise equipped the same as the suites, but with only a single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) and may not have a French balcony or seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/pebble beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.
The gently sloping beach offers the opportunity for a relaxing beach vacation. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach provides the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 522 rooms. The cozy and charmingly furnished complex has a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants, and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 pools and 3 children's pools (some heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with over 30 water slides offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Guests of "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).

The modern rooms (2FS, approx. 70 sqm) consist of one bedroom with a king-size bed and another bedroom with single beds and a sofa bed, and are equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, safe, minibar (water included), kettle, air conditioning, telephone (for a fee), TV, and balcony or terrace.

Royal Suite Swim Up Pool View
