Depending on the embarkation day, the route may vary.

Route:

Day 1:

Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.

Day 2:

A hot air balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, bookable locally).

In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 3:

Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.

Lunch on board and visit to the double temple (1,2,3).

Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.

Day 4:

In the morning, after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).

Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.

In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).

Then visit a Nubian village (3).

Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 5:

Early morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.

Then back to Kom Ombo.

Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.

Day 6:

Breakfast on board. Then the ship continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 7:

Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).

Then the ship continues to Luxor.

Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and the Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at the Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. There is also a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. From winter 2024/25, the ship will feature a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 m² in size and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 m²). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
On the balcony of the Royal Suites, there is also a small table and two chairs.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 m² in size and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 m²) than the suites with otherwise the same amenities, but may lack a French balcony and seating area, and may have a non-opening window.

Location

The sprawling resort is located directly on the hotel's own sand/gravel beach (bathing shoes recommended) and is only approx. 40 km from Marsa Alam Airport.

Due to the gently sloping beach, you have the opportunity for a relaxing beach holiday. On the other hand, the long jetty leads directly into deeper water, from where you can discover the beautiful and impressive underwater world of the Red Sea. The beach offers the best conditions for snorkeling and diving.

The large, newly opened hotel complex consists of 522 rooms. The cozily and charmingly furnished complex has a reception, several shops, an amphitheater, various bars, two buffet restaurants ("El Khan" - Oriental, "Soprano Restaurant" - international cuisine), an à la carte restaurant ("Shell Fish" - seafood, once per stay, with reservation), two snack restaurants and various bars and a café, The Bakery.
In the spacious outdoor area, there are 12 pools and 3 children's pools (some heated in winter). The newly built Aqua Park with over 30 water slides offers fun for all ages.
Sun loungers, umbrellas, cushions, and towels are provided free of charge by the pool and on the beach.
Guests of the "Pickalbatros Portofino Villaggio" can use all facilities of the sister hotel "Pickalbatros Portofino Vita" (RMF116).
