Product information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on MS Lady Carol and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit to the East Bank in Luxor. At 5 am, optional balloon excursion (can be booked locally).
Breakfast, visit to the East Bank, Karnak and Luxor Temples (1,2,3).
Lunch on board.
Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 3:
Visit to the West Bank. In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Late evening departure for Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
Continuing journey from Esna.
Then continue to Aswan, where you will also spend the night.
Lunch and dinner, as well as overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam and the Old Aswan Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit to the Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then opportunity for a visit to a Nubian village, with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 6:
You have the opportunity to explore Abu Simbel (2,3). Journey to Kom Ombo with a visit to the double temple (1,2,3). Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Continue to Esna and visit to the Edfu Temple (1,2,3). Overnight on board.
Day 8:
Arrival in Luxor. Departure.

The ship has a friendly reception area and a total of 72 beautiful outside cabins spread across several decks. The main restaurant serves delicious meals. A cozy lounge bar complements the offerings. A small bazaar invites you to stroll and browse. The spacious sun deck features a large pool and a bar. Bath towels are included on board.

Meals

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as a buffet. Drinks are available for a fee.

Entertainment

Occasional evening entertainment with folklore.

Cabins

The tastefully furnished cabins (K2) are approx. 19 sqm and have a bathroom with bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, video system, air conditioning, minibar, and safe. The cabins can also be booked for single use (K1 or KA1).

Economy Cabins

The economy cabins (EK2) are equipped like the standard cabins but are located on the lower decks and have a small porthole window.

Single Occupancy Cabin

With the same amenities as the cabins, but slightly smaller (approx. 13 sqm) and with only one bed (K1B). The window cannot be opened.

Location

Located directly on the beautiful and long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay is the popular Iberotel Makadi Beach hotel. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef grows to the shore in some places, offering excellent diving and snorkeling conditions. The Makadi Souk is just a few meters from the hotel, where you can look for souvenirs or enjoy oriental dishes in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is approx. 35 km north.

Facilities

The spacious complex with two-story units, stretching along the pool and garden landscape to the beach, leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel has 313 rooms, a welcoming lobby with reception, a fun pub, and shops and boutiques. For your culinary well-being, there is a main restaurant and two à la carte restaurants, as well as an oriental restaurant. Additional à la carte restaurants are available to guests in Madinat Makadi for a fee. The extensive outdoor area features a swimming pool (heated in winter) and a swimming pool with an adjacent children's pool and waterfall, a sun terrace, and a pool bar and pool restaurant. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach and by the pool.

Double Superior

The Double Superior rooms (DSU) are tastefully and comfortably furnished (approx. 36 sqm) with shower/WC, bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, air conditioning, tiled floor, satellite TV, telephone, safe. Upon arrival, you will find apples, cookies, and a balcony or terrace with garden or pool view. Also available as Superior Pool View (DSP), Superior Side Sea View (DSS), Superior Sea View (DMU), or for single use (DEU/ESP/1SD/EMU).

Double Room Superior Sea View Guaranteed Top Floor

The newly bookable schauinsland-reisen Original rooms (MSA) are equipped like the Double Superior rooms and offer sea views. The rooms are guaranteed to be on the top floor of the hotel, offering a breathtaking view of the Red Sea. Also available for single use (MSE).

Junior Suite Side Sea View

The Junior Suites (J2S) have the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms but are larger (approx. 50 sqm) with a living area and coffee machine, and a side sea view. Also available with sea view (J2M).
