Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. Afternoon visit to the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 am (optional, bookable on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit to the Double Temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast pack included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. The ship then continues to Esna. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. You then have the option to visit the Temple of Edfu (1,2,3).
The ship then continues to Luxor.
Once there, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with the Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an option for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

Departure.

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished exterior cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and features a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and sip on cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Furthermore, a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner are available. As of Winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio that is freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on sun loungers on the sun deck or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

The friendly furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and have a shower/WC, hairdryer, two single beds or a double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony.

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks.
The Royal Suites also feature a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The Single Suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed without a seating area.

Economy Suite

The Economy Suites (S2Z) are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) than the suites with otherwise the same amenities, and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but a non-opening window.

Located directly on the beautiful and long sandy beach of the idyllic Makadi Bay is the popular hotel Iberotel Makadi Beach. Experience the colorful underwater world of the Red Sea. The hotel's own reef grows to the shore in places and offers excellent diving and snorkeling conditions. Just a few meters from the hotel is the Makadi Souk, where you can look for souvenirs or enjoy oriental dishes in one of the nice restaurants. Hurghada is located approx. 35 km to the north.

Facilities

The spacious complex with double-story units, stretching along the pool and garden landscape to the beach, leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel has 313 rooms, an inviting lobby with reception, fun pub, and shops and boutiques. For your culinary enjoyment, there is a main restaurant and two à la carte restaurants, as well as an oriental restaurant. Further à la carte restaurants are available to guests in the Madinat Makadi for a fee.
In the extensive outdoor area, there is a swimming pool (heated in winter) and a swimming pool with an adjacent children's pool and waterfall, a sun terrace, a pool bar, and a pool restaurant. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge on the beach and by the pool.
