When booking the MS Nile Excellence, the following excursions are automatically included: Valley of the Kings, Kom Ombo Temple, and the visit to the High Dam in Aswan. Of course, the excursion packages listed below can still be booked.

Route:
Day 1:
Arrival and embarkation. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Museum (3). Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
A balloon ride is possible at 5 a.m. (optional, can be booked on site).
In the morning, after breakfast, excursion to Thebes-West to Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
Continue sailing to Kom Ombo in the morning.
Lunch on board and visit of the double temple (1,2,3).
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit to the Aswan High Dam (1,2,3).
Then visit Philae Temple by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3).
Then visit a Nubian village (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 a.m., opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3), breakfast package included.
Then it's back to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then the ship sails on to Esna. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 7:
Breakfast. Then you have the opportunity to visit the Edfu Temple (1,2,3).
Then the ship continues to Luxor.
Upon arrival, you have the opportunity to visit the East Bank with Luxor Temple (1,2,3) and Karnak Temple (1,2,3). There is an opportunity for a sound and light show at Karnak Temple (optional, can be booked on site).

The MS Nile Excellence has a total of 30 modernly furnished outside cabins spread across several decks. The reception area is bright and elegantly designed and has a reception desk. Enjoy culinary delights in the main restaurant and savor cool drinks served by the three bars on board. Additionally, there is a small bazaar and a cozy reading corner. Starting from Winter 2024/25, the ship features a small fitness studio, freely accessible to all guests on board. To make your vacation perfect, you can relax on the sun deck on loungers or cool off in the pool while enjoying the dreamlike view of the landscape along the Nile.

Suite

The cheerfully furnished suites (S2) are approx. 24 sqm and have a shower/toilet, hairdryer, two single beds or one double bed, air conditioning (individually adjustable), minibar, safe, TV, telephone (for a fee), seating area, and French balcony. Also available for single occupancy (1SA).

Royal Suite

The Royal Suites (RS) have the same amenities as the suites but are larger (approx. 37 sqm). The Royal Suites are located on the middle and upper decks. The Royal Suites also have a small table and two chairs on the balcony.

Single Suite

The single suites (S1) are approx. 13 sqm and otherwise have the same amenities as the suites, but with only one single bed and no seating area.

Economy Suite

The economy suites (S2Z) have the same amenities as the suites but are slightly smaller (approx. 21 sqm) and may not have a French balcony and seating area, but rather a non-opening window.

The turquoise lagoon landscape invites you to relax and unwind. The well-known Zeytouna Beach on Zeytouna Island, which leads into the crystal-clear water via a 400 m long swimming jetty, is only about 2 km away. The center of El Gouna with numerous shops, bars, and restaurants, which invite you to stroll and linger, is about 1 km away. Hurghada center is about 30 km away and Hurghada Airport is about 35 km away.

The Steigenberger Golf Resort was extensively renovated in spring 2023 and has been shining in new splendor ever since. The exclusive hotel consists of a main building and several outbuildings. The spacious complex was built in a Nubian style and has 268 modern rooms. The hotel offers its guests an elegant lobby with a reception and seating areas. In the extensive and beautifully designed garden complex, there are two main pools and a children's pool (one of the two main pools heated in winter, children's pool heated in winter) with a sun terrace and an inviting pool bar. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are available to guests free of charge by the pool and at the lagoon beach. Three restaurants and six bars cater to your culinary desires. These include the buffet restaurant "Fairways Restaurant" with changing theme buffets and a variety of international specialties, "La Rotisserie" with international dishes, and the "Harumaki Restaurant" with Japanese cuisine (reservations required). Further facilities of the resort include a popular 18-hole golf course among golfers, as well as a spa, wellness, and fitness area.

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2) are approximately 54 sqm and have the same amenities as the Superior rooms, but with lagoon, golf course, or pool view. Also available for single occupancy (DD1).

Double Room Premium Lagoon or Pool View

The rooms (PPD) are 54 sqm and modernly furnished. They have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, free Wi-Fi, smart TV, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, safe, and a balcony or terrace with garden view. Also available for single occupancy (1PP).

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2) have the same amenities as the double rooms but are more spacious (72 sqm) and additionally feature an integrated living area with a table, two chairs, and two sofa beds, and have garden, lagoon, golf course, or pool views.

Ali Pasha Suite (from 01.05.2026)

The suite is approx. 46-50 sqm and features a visually separated living/sleeping area, seating area, double bed (king-size), shower, bathrobe, slippers, hairdryer, air conditioning, minibar (for a fee), safe, TV, coffee/tea making facilities, and a French balcony.

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM buffet-style in the main restaurant "Fairways". Breakfast includes tea, coffee, orange juice, and juices from the juice station.

Half Board

Breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM and dinner from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM buffet-style in the main restaurant "Fairways". Breakfast includes tea, coffee, orange juice, and juices from the juice station. Drinks are not included with dinner. Alternatively, dinner can be enjoyed in one of the à la carte restaurants (reservations required, for a fee). Dine Around in El Gouna included. Optionally bookable "All Inclusive" during the period 1.4.-31.10.25. Enjoy a selection of various dishes and drinks included in the All Inclusive at different locations within the resort: Breakfast buffet-style at Fairways Restaurant (6:30-10:30 AM). Lunch at Fairways Restaurant (buffet, 12:30-2:30 PM) or at Lagoon Terrace (à la carte, 12-3 PM). Dinner at Fairways Restaurant (buffet, 6:30-9:30 PM). Additionally, the following à la carte restaurants are included once a week (reservations required): "L'Rotisserie Restaurant" and "HARUMAKI Restaurant" with a choice of Teppanyaki or Sushi menus. Local alcoholic drinks (house wine, local beer, local spirits and cocktails) as well as non-alcoholic drinks (soft drinks, filtered Brita water, juice, non-alcoholic beer, espresso, coffee, tea) are included by the glass or in a carafe from 10 AM to 11 PM and during meals. Additionally, the following bars are available: "Lobby Lounge" (open 24 hours), "Lagoon Terrace" (10 AM-11 PM), "Hole 19" (3 PM-1 AM), "Beach Bar" (10:30 AM-5 PM). The minibar is refilled daily with soft drinks.

Dine Around El Gouna

The Dine-Around program offers guests with half board, full board, or all-inclusive a special culinary experience in numerous participating restaurants. Guests can dine in participating restaurants of other hotels - at no extra cost for the food (drinks excluded). Depending on the length of stay, guests can use the Dine-Around offer multiple times: 1x for stays of four nights or more, up to 3x for five to seven nights, and up to 4x for eight or more nights. Guests from 5-star hotels have access to all participating restaurants. Guests from 3 or 4-star hotels can dine in hotels of the same category – an upgrade to a 5-star restaurant is possible for a small fee. A table reservation through the hotel (ideally by 12 PM on the same day) is recommended.

Sports Included

Volleyball, darts, and boccia, fitness center (open from 9 AM to 7 PM). Offerings may vary depending on occupancy.

Sports for a Fee

18-hole championship golf course with driving range located on the hotel premises. Green fees can be booked on site, depending on the season.
