Location

The extensive hotel complex is located directly on the hotel's own 400m long sandy beach. A jetty on the beach facilitates entry into deeper water, providing perfect conditions for snorkeling. From here, guests can explore the beautiful and diverse underwater world of the Red Sea. The nearest shopping center, Senzo Mall, is about 300m away. The center of Hurghada is approximately 20 km away, and Hurghada International Airport is about 15 km away.

Facilities

Experience water fun for the whole family at the popular 5-star family resort! The complex is nestled in a beautiful and generously landscaped garden. Enjoy a fantastic family vacation and experience Egyptian hospitality. This hotel complex, particularly popular with repeat guests, features 481 comfortably furnished rooms spread across several three-story buildings. The main building houses the reception, the Sun Ray Lobby Bar, and the Giardino Buffet Restaurant. The spacious and well-maintained garden offers a large pool landscape consisting of three freshwater pools (Moroccan Pool, Aqua Pool, and Children's Pool with slides; heated in winter). A highlight of the resort is the on-site aquapark with twelve different water slides (usable from 1.20m height) and a separate area with two children's slides (Octopus, Snake), making the hearts of water lovers, young and old, beat faster.
In addition to the buffet restaurant, the resort offers five delicious à la carte restaurants (Italian, Egyptian, Mongolian, Burger, Fusion cuisine (for a fee), reservations required for all) as well as four further à la carte restaurants at the sister hotel "SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace," which can also be used free of charge (reservations required for all). Additionally, eight different bars are available: Sun Ray Bar, Boulevard Bar (for a fee), Amuse Billiards Bar, Victoria Pub, Aqua Bar, Oasis Pool Bar (located in the main pool), Nasaya Beach Bar, and a Shisha Tent (for a fee). Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included at the pool and on the beach. Facilities at the "SENTIDO Mamlouk Palace Resort" can be used.

Double Room Superior

The 45 sqm tastefully furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU) feature a telephone, bathroom with shower or bathtub/toilet, hairdryer, coffee and tea making facilities, a seating area, minibar (daily refilled with water, soft drinks refilled once a week), air conditioning, safe, TV, balcony or terrace.
Also available as double room with side sea view (DMS only in summer 24) or for single use (DE, DES). Also bookable as Type I (DI) with special price, limited availability.

Super Saver Room

Super Saver Rooms (SSZ) have the same amenities as the Double Superior rooms, but with limited availability and a special price.

Deluxe Double Room

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DPB) have the same amenities as the Double Rooms, are also approximately 45 sqm, and additionally feature a king-size bed or two single beds, a seating area with a side table, and a vanity table. The rooms have a pool view.
Also available for single use (DPE).
Also available with side sea view (DDS/EDD) and as Type I (DDI) at a special price, limited availability.

Katta's Family Room

Katta Family Rooms (KWF) with bunk beds are bookable as a Schauinsland-Reisen original and appear freshly renovated in Katta style (bookable under KWF and DF2).
The rooms offer additional amenities for children, such as a Katta-style bunk bed, a Katta play corner with beanbags, a small table with chairs, an extra Smart TV with HDMI connection, and a height chart on the wall. The sockets are also equipped with child locks. The bathrooms have towel racks at child height and a small step in front of the sink. With the same amenities as the Double Rooms, these rooms are also approximately 45 sqm.
Also bookable as a Double Room (FR2).
With 2 adults and 3 children, space is limited.

Katta's Family Suite

The Family Suites (2FS/FMK) are bookable as Schauinsland-Reisen original rooms and have been renovated.
The suites are approximately 75 sqm and consist of two separate bedrooms, one master bedroom with a king-size bed and another bedroom with two single beds, separated by a hallway. Both rooms have their own bathroom with a shower. The double rooms with a king-size bed are equipped similarly to the double rooms and have a Smart TV with HDMI connection. The rooms with two single beds feature a special lighting effect, a dresser with a Smart TV and HDMI connection, and a chillout area with a beanbag. The sockets are equipped with child locks, and the bathrooms have a small step and child-height towel racks.
Please note that Katta and his friends are not graphically represented in Katta's Family Suites.
The family suites can accommodate up to 4 adults.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites (JS2) are approximately 80 sqm and consist of a living/sleeping area with extra sleeping options and a separate bedroom. The rooms also have a bathroom with a bathtub and a terrace.
Also available for single use (JS1).

The Beach Front rooms (BF2) have the same amenities as the Double Rooms but are located in the first row to the beach and have a sea view.

Breakfast from 7:00-10:30 AM, lunch from 12:30-2:30 PM (winter)/1:00-3:00 PM (summer), dinner from 7:00-10:00 PM (summer) 6:30-10:00 PM (winter), all buffet style. Midnight snacks from 10:30 PM to 1:00 AM. Alternatively, dinner can be enjoyed in one of the four à la carte restaurants.
Snacks at the Pool Bar from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Snacks at the Aqua Bar from 12:00 PM to 4:30 PM and from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Gamila Beach Restaurant. Tea time and pastries from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Sun Ray Lobby Bar.
The main restaurant features Katta's Restaurant area for children, offering an extra children's buffet and child-sized tables.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are available from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM at the respective open bar.

“Katta's Holiday”
Dear children, do you know what my favorite thing to do is? Having a holiday, of course! Wouldn't you like to visit me at the hotel for a few days and have a holiday together? We can play, do crafts, solve puzzles, and read stories together. In the evening, we'll rock the mini-disco. I'll give every child a personal travel diary. So, how does that sound? Katta's Mini Club is available for our younger guests (3-12 years) in German, offering games and fun with Katta and his friends. It includes a general area with various games, a PlayStation room with a selection of PlayStation games, and a sleeping and chill-out room for afternoon naps. In the evening, a children's cinema is available in the Mini Club. Drawing and cooking classes, as well as sports activities, complete the program. Additionally, there is a playground for the little ones, Katta's children's buffet corner in the main restaurant, and a mini aquapark with a pool. Katta also offers a special highlight with his garden: here, children can help Katta tend to various vegetables.
Babysitting service is available for a fee.

Wellness

The spa area (ages 16 and up, use for a fee) is open from 10 AM to 8 PM and offers sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi, and hammam. Massages and other treatments are available for an additional fee. Appointments may be required for some services.
